100% Arabica Blend: 33.3% Brazil | 33.3% Colombia | 33.3% Costa Rica
Blended from Central American Arabica, this coffee delivers a sharp, strong flavour blended to resemble Jamaican Blue Mountain.
A good daytime coffee, satisfying and full of flavour. Sweetness and maltiness also come through well as an espresso. Adding milk develops the caramel and toffee notes from the Costa Rica beans.
“Drip Brew Special was a coffee we created when specifically looking for a filter coffee. The story was that when we were looking for beans with which to roast our Drip Brew special, we wanted to find beans to roast and blend which would provide us with the flavour profile of Jamaican Blue Mountain, but better and for a lower price than Jamaican Blue Mountain. This was as tough a challenge for our bean importers as it was for the roasting team, but we succeeded.
We created a blend and roast that, according to many of our customers, tastes better than Jamaican Blue Mountain. And at a fraction of the cost of Jamaican Blue Mountain from certain high-profile stores. What is also extraordinary is that having developed it for our filter coffee offering, as with all our other coffees, it works well with all brew processes and, in particular, also makes for a delectable espresso.
Arabica beans are prized for their sweet, fruity flavours and higher acidity, elevating the taste profile of the blend. The beans’ sweetness ranges from caramel to floral notes, while their increased acidity adds vibrancy and brightness, resulting in a well-balanced and sophisticated coffee experience.
Opting for a blend coffee comes with a host of perks for coffee aficionados. A good blend can offer a harmonious fusion of beans from diverse origins. This thoughtful combination results in a well-balanced flavour profile that caters to a broad range of tastes. The synergy of different beans often brings out the best in each, creating a consistent and dependable cup of coffee. Blends like this one are ideal for those who appreciate a reliable and familiar flavour, as our roasters have skillfully fine-tuned the ratios to achieve a balanced and satisfying brew.

Many thanks again for the generous gift of coffee. I opened the Special Drip Blend for my breakfast coffee this morning and it was excellent! I will certainly reorder and also look forward to sampling the other two.
