It is a drink that has become popular in the USA but what is it and what benefits does it have?
CBD is a naturally occurring compound found in the cannabis plant. CBD, short for cannabidiol, and does not contain THC (the psychoactive component of cannabis.)
CBD, which is legal in the UK is thought to have a wide range of potential health benefits.
CBD has a long history of medicinal use and was known to both the Chinese and Egyptians for its potential therapeutic properties.
Among the benefits, CBD is thought to help relieve anxiety and chronic pain, improve sleep and it may also be an anti- inflammatory.

Because it contains caffeine it can help keep you alert and stimulate the central nervous system, leading to increased endurance and improved athletic performance.
It is rich in antioxidants so can protect against stress and inflammation and it may also reduce the risk of liver diseases, including liver cancer and cirrhosis.
You may be able to enjoy the benefits of increased alertness and focus from coffee, along with the potential calming and pain-relieving effects of CBD.
Combining CBD with coffee may also help alleviate some of the less pleasant side effects of coffee, such as being jittery or anxious. So you get a more balanced and relaxed state of mind.
Nevertheless, as with anything your reactions will be individual to you, so you may need to experiment with quantities if you’re thinking of combining the two.
Choose a high-quality CBD oil or CBD isolate. Then prepare your preferred coffee drink, such as French press, drip coffee (such as Christopher Montrose Drip Brew Special), or espresso (such as Christopher Montrose Espresso Grin).
When your coffee is ready add your CBD dosage and stir well to ensure it is evenly distributed. Start with a small amount of CBD and gradually increase the dose until you get the mix that’s right for you.
